Accessing the Media

Accessing the media is easier than most people realize. The most important thing is that you do something. If you haven’t worked with your local media now is the time to begin.

Speaking Tours

A speaking tour, whether it is one city or nationwide is an excellent vehicle to affect public opinion. Media coverage can make the difference between having a few hundred people hear the message of your speaker and hundreds of thousands hearing the message.

Delegations

Delegations outside the U.S. are an excellent vehicle for generating significant media coverage: prior to departure; while they are in country and when they return.

Interviews

Interviews are not conversations. The reporter is representing the public and will can ask hard or sometimes deliberately leading questions to elicit an emotional response from you. You are speaking to the public not the reporter.
